Peter Acquaro has had 18 years industry experience while holding FINRA Series 6, 63, 65/66, 7, 26 and Texas Life, Health, HMO and property Casualty Licenses. He also has achieved LUTCF through the American College of Financial Services.
Peter started with Van Kampen American Capital in 1997, where he served as a representative in the Special Products department supporting Open End, Closed End Mutual Funds, Off-Shore Funds and Annuities. He was hired as a Sale Support Internal Wholesaler Representative for VALIC in 1999 and by 2001 was promoted to National Sales Trainer for VALIC and VFA. Peter then moved to become Manager of Agency Training for Prudential in 2005 and was promoted to Sales Manager in 2007.
In addition, Peter became Vice President of Development for Wealth Development Strategies and Penn Mutual in 2009. In 2011, while with WDS and Penn Mutual transitioned out of management to the field and he developed his own book of business until late 2013 where he joined AIG Financial Network to support their transformation efforts and served as interim Managing Director for the Houston Heights office. He served there from July 2014 until March of 2015, where he returned to his Director of Training Development role, which is where he is most passionate about.
Advisor and Principle behind the Guardian Group, a final expense agency headquartered in the Champions region of FM 1960 in North Houston and has a team of 100 agents growing nationwide. Realizing that simply providing a check when a loved passes away is why the Guardian Group specializes in what is known as a final expense Funding and Planning program.
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Rick and his young family moved to Houston in January of 2015. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management and played rugby for the University of Arizona. A business owner since 2008, and licensed producer since 2011. Rick started his insurance career at State Farm before making a change to advanced planning with New York Life and an exclusive team known as Precision Wealth Strategies. Rick has now been at the helm of the Guardian Group since 2013 and part of a team that has some of the top final expense producers in the country.
Since joining NAIFA Houston, Rick has earned his LUTCF designation through the College of Financial Planning and joined the exclusive Presidents Cabinet. His most recent claim to NAIFA fame was winning “Beat the Pro” at the last Top Golf event in Katy.
As a former Club President, Rick enjoys serving through Rotary and is currently a member of the Houston Skyline Club. Mentoring, consulting, and volunteering are all core beliefs, civically as well as vocationally.
Brandon is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. He is a financial adviser with Cornerstone Wealth Management and holds the ChFC, CLU, CAS, CLTC, FSS and LUTCF designations and is a 7 year NAIFA National Quality Award winner. He is a graduate of the NAIFA Leadership in Life Institute and he has served several times as a moderator for the program. He has been a member of the Million Dollar Round Table since 2009 as well as an active MDRT committee member.
From a charitable perspective, he is a Partner for Hope with St. Jude Children’s Hospital and a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. He is an active participant with the Show’s Speaker’s Committee and carries the message of the rodeo and Texas heritage to local schools and businesses.

Joey was born and raised in Dallas Texas, a graduate of Texas A&M and The University of North Texas and was also a part of Texas A&M Corps of Cadets for 4 years. Joey has 22 years of experience in financial services that started out with Fidelity Investments, Leaders club with Mass Mutual in 2008 and Guardian Life Insurance Agent and Manager presently.
Joey was a board member of the NAIFA North Metro Georgia, an award winning NAIFA Chapter for Quality and was involved with professional development associated with the LUTCF teaching and graduating several LUTCF students. He attended (LILI) Leaders in Life Institute and graduated in 2014. Joey has been active in the Boy Scouts and the American Kidney Fund for many years.

Ann Baker Ronn
Ann Baker Ronn joined The AFP Group in 1991, and counts among her passions helping people achieve financial success, and making them laugh. She is proud to be a third generation member of the insurance and financial services profession. She earned the designation of LUTCF (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow) in 1974.
Ann served on the board of NAIFA-Houston (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors) for seven years. During that time, she spearheaded the Lone Star Symposium, a spring event that brings top industry speakers to Houston. In 2015 Ann received the coveted John Neighbors Award. John Neighbors was the first Houston NAIFA member to serve as President of the National Association. This award recognizes a member who has served the Association, the membership, the industry and the community with distinction and special dedication. In 2007, Ann was a recipient of the Paul Mills Scholarship from the Foundation for Financial Service Professionals.
Ted Erck is a native Houstonian growing up in the Spring Branch Memorial area. Ted graduated from The Kinkaid School in 1979 and the University of Texas in 1983.
Ted joined his wife, Dayna Been Erck, in 1999 at ExamOne Medical Profiles. Dayna started Medical Profiles in 1983, and through the collaborative efforts of a great staff, terrific group of examiners and wonderful customers, have grown the company to the largest single ExamOne office in the country.
Ted has been a NAIFA member since 1999. Member of the Presidents Club since its inception and regularly supports NAIFA events as a sponsor and member participant. Ted has served as President of ALHA Houston, NAIFA Houston, The Houston Racquet Club, The Houston Tennis Association, and the St Francis Sports Association. He was recently honored with the NAIFA Houston Hall of Fame Award and the University of Texas Hall of Honor boards. Ted has been blessed with a beautiful wife, Dayna and a wonderful son Peyton.
Malcolm Pfenninger is a native Houstonian and resides in Sugar Land, TX with his wife Stephanie and two children.
He began his career in the Insurance and Financial Services industry in 2006. Malcolm joined New York Life in 2010 and has qualified for council each of his six years. He is a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table. In 2014, Malcolm served on New York Life's Agent's Advisory Council, a board of 24 agents that acts as a conduit between the field and upper management. Currently, Malcolm is the Political Involvement Leader for New York Life's Houston General Office.
Malcolm received his Bachelor of Science degree from Houston Baptist University. He holds his Life and Health License as well as his series 6, 7, 63, and 66. He has also achieved his designation as a Retirement Income Certified Professional through the American College.
Malcolm is active in his community serving at his church in the children's ministry as well as working with troubled teens in Fort Bend County.
Tina Riffle is the owner of Stepped Up Insurance Agency, Inc. and serves as a life specialist for Gibraltar Insurance Services. Her experience includes Vice President of Marketing and Business Development with George W. Evans & Associates, Inc. (08/2009-03/2013) She was responsible for developing and maintaining broker and client relationships, and managing day to day operations of the agency. She sustained continued growth of Work Place Injury Programs by increasing new sales to over 1.2 million in new premium. Equipped with over twenty years’ experience in the insurance industry; her knowledge of carriers, contracts, and products has enabled her to provide creative and suitable solutions.
Having grown up in the insurance industry and having worked closely with her father; Tom Riffle, founder of Elite Marketing Group she was the Regional Director for Occupational Accident and later Marketing Director and Partner with Affiliated Marketing Group. (03/2003-7/2009) She helped facilitate the growth of the Affiliated Marketing Group from one life carrier and one group carrier to a full insurance brokerage agency. Also, bringing a niche market and carrier contracts for Work Place Injury Programs.
Tina’s most recent working knowledge has been in the Life Insurance, Disability, Long-Term Care, Voluntary and Worksite Products, Group Insurance, Medicare Supp, Worker’s Compensation and Work Place Injury programs. Tina’s passion of seeking a holistic and consultative approach for clients to finding insurance solutions is what she finds most rewarding about her career. She is currently working on completing her LUTCF.
Tina Riffle is married and the proud Mother of her nineteen-year-old son; Chandler; who is a Freshman at Houston Baptist University. She likes to volunteer for Houston Food Bank, and spends her Saturday mornings volunteering for K-9 Angels Rescue. Tina attends First Baptist Church of Houston.
